I think there has been many threads with this topic but I have another problem. I'm not very good at computer terms but please tolerate me :D

I have my backup cd but there is a problem. When it says "press any key to boot from Cd," It doesnt let me. At first I thought my keyboard was playing up but I tried with another one. I also tested by pressing num lock + caps lock. I'm not sure what I can do to solve it but any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I agree with the USB keyboard posts. This happens often if the BIOS cannot handle USB keyboards. Often they have a setting for the BIOS to handle USB but it is always named differently, or may not be there at all. Try PS2 and if that fails, try a different keyboard or setting in the BIOS. Consult the manual first before changing settings.
