bassman88 Posted December 19, 2007 Report Share Posted December 19, 2007 Hi people, Could someone please please help me, this is driving me nuts can't work it out. My service provider is AOL. I got laptop Windows XP, i have NetGear wirless card that slots into my laptop. I get signal sent from router. Windows msn messanger stoped working, wouldn't let me sign in, beacasue i have to download service pack 2. I didn't have it before. Now it's downloaded and installed ive lost my connection wont connet. Tried looking in firewall options click differnt allow options, didn't work. It just wont connect. I'm not very good with computers, if anyone can offer some sort of help, that be great. Been siting here for hours trying to do it. Boris Posted December 19, 2007 Report Share Posted December 19, 2007 I don't think that you have a firewall problem.Windows own Firewall is only outward facing i.e. it protects your computer by blocking communications that might actually be dangerous software trying to find a way to connect in to your computer - not you connecting out.
