luke1206
Hi Most grateful if anyone could help me do a bit of diagnosis. I have a new work laptop (Dell Latitude D630, XP) that picks up wireless networks ok at work (when it is set to "at home site" on the Novel login screen), but won't seem to pick-up the wireless network at my parent's house (when set to "Not at Home Site"). I have another Dell loptop which picks up my parent's network fine, so the issue is not with that. The D630 can access the web perfectly through an Ethernet cable connected to Virging Media cable service at my flat. I had issues connecting to this at first but they were solved by running the VM set-up CD.Would anyone know if there is a way to solve this? Many thanks,Luke
Mike567
What connection do you have at work.It could be your laptop is 802.11b but the connection is 802.11g so it will not pick it up.

Boris
It could be your laptop is 802.11b but the connection is 802.11g so it will not pick it up.Very unlikely that a new laptop would only be 802.11b :
Mike567
I was more or less using it as a example, as you can now get 802.11n & y.I would say consult your work admin, it could be they have just turned off the wireless, or have moved the router and your in a black spot.
