Weird Windows Live Dialog

I saw a curious dialog box today for the first time, and I'm wondering if you guys could help me figure out whether it's legitimate or whether I have a trojan. I was reinstalling Firefox today (long story) and I wanted to delete any leftover information in the Application Data directory after uninstalling it. I opened the "c:\documents and settings\my username\" folder and tried to click the "Application Data" folder.

My computer froze for a second or two, and then opened a very curious and plain-looking dialog box that asked me to sign in with my Windows Live ID (file attached). I don't have a Windows Live ID, never have had one, and when I went out to get one and download the Windows Live software, it was all glitzy and snazzy, not plain like the dialog I was presented with. Whenever the dialog is open, my system starts to crawl. Not a happy sign.

I've gone into these folders before and never seen this dialog. Is this some software from Microsoft that sneaked its way onto my system, or should I be more concerned? Has anyone ever seen this dialog before?

Thanks for any input you can give me.

-Nate

Looks fishy to me!

Go to https://login.live.com/ - this is how Windows Live ID sign-in looks. Besides, you never need to sign-in to open your local folders.

Scan your system for malware with http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ - use Housecall 6.6 if you are on Vista.
