-pops-
Upgrades have all the facilities of the full program. The only difference between them is that the upgrade requires proof of ownership of the previous version. I'm not certain of the details of the procedure of upgrading to Vista but in previous versions of Windows upgrades, there was no need to even have the original installed to use the upgrades. All that was required was to insert the old disk during the install process of the new version to prove validity.Having said all of that, are you sure you want to upgrade? I've always found that the performance of an upgraded computer falls very much short of that of a machine that was built with the new operating system already in mind. That, combined with the general opinions of Vista on the marketplace, would dissuade me from upgrading.
andsome
Most of the problems on forums regarding Vista, are on upgraded computers. The same thing happened when XP first came out, then, mostof the problems were on upgraded W98 computers. I would not consider it unless it was on a new computer designed for operation with Vista.Decandy has posted a link in another thread on the forum regarding Vista.I suggest that you read this. kurt_f
I backed my documents up and then formatted my computer to how it left the factory, then bought vista home premium upgrade and it actually runs better than my Xp media center edition
