Jeff Lebowski Posted January 12, 2008 Report Share Posted January 12, 2008 Hi,I recently had/am having a security scare... anyway, I don't know much about firewalls, etc, so I spent a while just enabling firewalls (on the highest security) and other various things. Trouble is, now when I access the internet and try to, for example, view a video on Youtube, or download a program, it won't let me.In the case of Youtube videos, this appears:(Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.)And when I try to download that, it just doesn't start downloading. When I tried downloading something else, I got this message:(Your security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded.)I want my computer to be safe (behind a firewall), but does this mean I can't view flash player things or download things? I understand there is some way to add exceptions to your firewall. Is this what I should do? If so could someone please talk me through this?Thanks.
