Hi Experts

I have a weird problem. When I click on any of my drives, it's showing "Choose program to open this file" window which lists all the available programs, but with "Always use selected program to open this type of file" checkbox disabled. I am able to browse "explorer.exe" from windows directory and drives opens correctly through that. Is there any workaround to solve this and make my drives open as usual ?

I guess it's a kind of virus infection. Any insights would be helpful ?

Following are my system specification

OS : Windows XP Professional SP2

RAM : 1GB

Hello Navaneeth. :D

Perhaps you could try this FREE on-line virus checker, to eliminate the virus possibility....

Hi Irene,

Thanks for the support. I have solved the issue. The virus was creating an autorun.inf file to my drives and that caused the problem. I opened up XP recovery console and deleted those files. It's working like a charm now. Thanks again
