just-for-tonight
I was using my Windows XP computer yesterday, and for some reason when I logged on, and my desktop was displayed, the computer would restart. I didn't think much of it at the time, but I've tried to get on the computer many times, and it just won't let me! I was cleaning yesterday, and may have touched the wires, but I don't think I pulled anything out.Is there a reason why this has happened? I need urgent help! Watchful
If you are sure that all the plugs etc. are firmly seated, have a look here: http://www.alexnolan.net/articles/restarting.htm
martix
Steps to take.1. Try booting in safe mode(without networking)?2. If you can - go to My Computer's properties and to the Advanced tab. There click the settings button on the "Startup and recovery" field and disable "Automatically restart" on system failure.3. Try again booting and if you get a Blue Screen(a.k.a. BSOD/Stop Error) report it here.
