Hello,

I need help, i have got MS Word 2003 and i require some Macro help. I'm a a tech at a low level company and i am unable to make a Macro work right... The Marco i am trying to set up is a Complex macro and im not that great at marcos.

Right, i want set a Marco so when i am logging phone calls i can press a button on my desktop to open MS Word with a Header and Footer and each time i open this it puts a auto nunmber in the conner saying how many time i have opened it and auto save when i close it...

Not sure if this is even possible with a macro, but if it is, it probably needs some development and testing time.

Have you tried Google to see if there are any sample macros out there?

Have you thought of doing it in a different way - e.g. instead of using a macro, write a program or script that invokes Word, then does what you need?

Hello Bollo, I have had something similar in the past. Pre Word2000.

I do not use macros.

Make a template (.dot) with the headers and footers you want.

Use a doc based on the dot.

Use the Revised Counter field to show how many times the doc has been opened, it increments every time you save the doc.

I am now using Word2007 and cannot find the exact field you need.
