nickster
I have 512 MB inbstalled, but FreeRAM XP says only 382. Is this because the 382 is the total available for user programs? (i.e. the rest is used for system programs)Thanks Nick
MacOSXrocksToo
When you restart your computer, go into BIOS, there it will tell you the real amount of RAM in your computer.Usually to go into BIOS, press the F2 key as your computer starts up (Before the Windows XP logo appears and the little blue bars go across your screen.) Mike567
Doesn't windows avoid telling you your real amount of ram?
Alan2273
Have you got onboard graphics that could be using some of that RAM?.
