It's just that as i've gained a couple of sons-in-law in the last 18 months and have been persuaded to take up my arrows again, I've decided to try and replce my old Leighton Rees darts with another set if I can find them anywhere! Just so I can continue to thrash the beggars on a regular basis.....heh...heh! It's a game that requires hand and eye co-ordination.......youth doesn't come into it! So...has anyone any idea where I might get a set. None of the on-line darts specialists seem to have any.......he's obviously not as trendy now he's passed away......but they used to be great balanced darts!!! I don't want platinum coated, rhenium blended with wolfram tungsten and a touch of latinum with rings scalloped and knurled in an exotic blend of Flight Aviation and Rocket Science......I'd just like a set of Leighton Rees darts! Watchful Posted February 18, 2008 Report Share Posted February 18, 2008 My husband used to play darts around that time and did in fact play up until about 10 years ago and he thinks it would be impossible to buy Leighton Rees darts now unless you're lucky enough to find a supplier with some very old stock. Wo do have an old dartboard and a couple of sets of Woolworth darts which have knurled brass bodies with rusty points and plastic feathers somewhere in the attic somewhere. My guess is that the original manufacturer of the darts you seek - if they are as good as you claim - may have re-badged the design under another name.Maybe - if you still have a Leighton Rees dart - you could visit a major darts stockist and make direct comparisons. Perhaps there is one close to your needs - if not identical. Alternatively perhaps this company could help with making copies for youClick hereI just had a Google out of curiosity and am amazed at the variety of designs available - but most seem to be made from exotic materials.
