bryan Posted February 20, 2008 Report Share Posted February 20, 2008 I need to reinstall windows because I can't get the computer to start. I'm okay with losing my hard drive. When I boot up using the xp cd, choose set up windows xp now, then choose c as the partition i want to install xp on, then the computer gets stuck formatting at 0%. It also sometimes gets stuck before I get to that point at either examining startup environment or examining 238418 mb disk 0 at id 0 on bus 0 on iastor... It also got stuck when I ran chkdsk at 25%.
