corupted img file on startup/hibernate

hello.

on startup/hibernate/wake up/shutdown the imagw has become currupt, i think it happened when my pc sufferd sudden power loss, is there anythign ic an do to fix it?

better question is does anyone know where the image is embedded? or where the file is?

Presumably this is a lmachine - with hibernation enabled ?

Try starting in Safe Mode (Press F8 when booting).

If that works -

When you eventually get a desktop visible - right click on it and then left click "Properties"

Select the Screensaver tab.

Left click "Power".

Left click the "Hibernate" tab.

Untick "Enable hibernation"

Click OK

Click Apply

Reboot.

If that clears the problem ............. then you can then re-enable hibernation.

If not ?????
