adamp1 Posted February 23, 2008 Report Share Posted February 23, 2008 I need to upgrade a small (5 computer) network from using just a basic network sharing and file sharing to using a windows server. Reason for this is they want central backup of data and greater control over the computers. My question is, I have the server all setup and ready I just need set the computers to join the domain but should they be wiped clean first with a fresh install before joining the new domain? Or dosn't it matter. Wiping them clean may be a problem since they are from Dell so no install disks + I think the Windows keys are the OEM so can only be activated once.
