mallett Posted February 23, 2008 Report Share Posted February 23, 2008 Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum,I'm currently having a problem with my HP Pavillion dv6000 Laptop. When i boot my laptop, it sometimes loads ok, but on occasion (and quite a lot recently) it will display a blue screen then quickly reboot. I am currently running WinXP Home. I managed to get a screen of the error report when i managed to boot up successfully, which i'm hoping someone will be able to identify the problem from.I hope i have posted enough information - if not, please let me knowAny help/advice would be greatly appreciated.P.s -the picture quality is quite poor,my bad! - The two file locations are as follows:C:\DOCUME~1\T1M0~1.LAP\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER1022.dir00\Mini022308-01.dmpC:\DOCUME~1\T1M0~1.LAP\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER1022.dir00\sysdata.xmlmallett Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

How can i find this compatibility list?Alan, I have tried what you said but unfortunately the problem still persists. I managed to get the info from my most recent BSOD which is as follows:---------Windows has shut down to prevent damage....blah blahTechnical info:*** STOP:0x0000008E (0XC0000005,0XB604794F,0XB7E5AA7C,0X00000000)wdmaud.sys - Address B604794F base at B6041000, datestamp 448fd03c---------Once windows boots, it is fine. It's only during the boot up process that i get this problem."If" i manage to get the laptop to boot up, I get the error report which is practically the same every time. juansifu Posted February 27, 2008 Report Share Posted February 27, 2008 If you can't get Windows XP to boot up try presing F8 during boot up this will bring to a selection screen where you can selet Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Boot to Last Good Know Configuration and so on. You may want to see if you can boot into Safe Mode and try to uninstall any devices that you may have installed. According to Irene's post it may mean you may have to update the Service Pack on your Operating System. Because the numbers for the .dmp file change every time it seems as if they are all corrupt maybe??sysdata.xml was also reported as it has been previously.I have absolutely no clue! i hope someone might be able to shed some light on the problem.Thanks again for your support guys, it is greatly appreciated.mallett Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
