pipers son
Reinstalled XP Home this morning. Now whenever I scroll up and down, instead of a smooth scrolling action, whatever page, whether on the internet or even wordpad, resets itself like you'd expect from a windows program from 1973. When I move the scroll bar on the right of the page, it moves a whole chunk at a time. Seems to only have a framerate of 1/0.25 seconds or so. Tried it on poker software as well and it's the same thing. Also even this box when I try to move it around. Definitely a windows framerate issue.Does anyone have any idea how to reverse this? Thanks a lot.
-pops-
Look in Control Panel under "Mouse" -> Wheel where the scrolling is controlled.
pipers son
Look in Control Panel under "Mouse" -> Wheel where the scrolling is controlled. It turned out that there were two issues. I tried what you suggested but nothing happened. Then I noticed there was no sound either. Thought it might be a good idea to install the drivers. Oops forgot. Solved everything except the scrolling problem. Then tried what you said and it worked. Thanks very much :)
andsome
This can be a very irritating thing to happen. I have no problems most of the time, my setting is for two spaces at a time. However, I get an e mail every week from Odeon cinemas, with a list of the forthcoming films. Their e mail just will not operate smoothly no matter what I do. Clicks to make it scroll down just result in nothing happening for a second or two, and another click does the same, then suddenly it shoots downwards several places. Trying to use the side scroll bar has exactly the same effect, a jerky intermittent movement. I sent them an e mail and they replied and asked me my operating system. They have not come back to me again. :D
