HELP: Need to backup outlook's inbox messages!

Hello!

I have Office 2003 installled.

I can't access it properly (I can open it, but it wants to set it up for the first time.) I have all the passwords I need and I can access all the folders (username is User)

The owner of the computer wants me to backup all her saved messages from her inbox.

And probably the address book as well.

How do I do these things? (I am a gmail user, so I have never found this out for myself)

Please reply.

Thanks in advance,

Panarchy

Outlook stores all messages, contacts, tasks, etc. in one or more .PST files. You can find their name(s) and location(s) in the Control Panel's Mail applet.

When backing up the PST files, make sure that Outlook is closed (check with Task Manager).

When backing up PST files to a read-only medium like CD-ROM, make sure that the read-only attribute is cleared before opening the file with Outlook.

Do not use Import or Export functions for backup purposes - the user will lose date this way!
