Blakey Posted March 5, 2008 Report Share Posted March 5, 2008 Hi, need some help....I want to merge two pieces of data on to a letter. the format in excel would be something like this..Fred Choc Cake 5.00Fred Ice Cream 9.00Fred Orange Juice 1.50John Apple Juice 2.50John Green Tea 3.00the required result would bedear fredblar blar blarChoc Cake 5.00Ice Cream 9.00Orange Juice 1.50the letter would then be the same for john but only return two results as followsApple Juice 2.50Green Tea 3.00can this be done by mail merge if so how. the name (John,fred) could be duplicated several times simular to as shown, but the other fields are always different.really stuck on this and its taking me so long to do this task every time I have to do it.Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anybody else noticed this ?Yesterday: could it be that your Time Zone is set incorrectly (Board Settings)?here: hear? From what my wife tells me I am somewhere between reality, and the stage where I will have to enter the "Twilight Home for The Bewildered".I can see that you are a pedantic person like myself when it comes to correct spelling, mind you, living ( 'ere, 'ear, Y'ear, hear, here, ) in Cornwall and after consuming whiskey typos are par for the course.
