Bill Q Posted March 8, 2008 Report Share Posted March 8, 2008 I have just pluged in an external HDD( in an ICY box) and it is not showing when I go into windows explorer. It is ok on another PC. It is showing in the computer management, device manager also showing on the safely remove hardware function. My operating system is windows xp pro. Anyone any ideas ?? It just seems that it is not coming up with a drive letter. as I say it shows on device manager and when I go to safely remove hardware. the annoying thing is that it worked ok a few weeks ago when I formated it and then backed some data up to it.
