burnoutclub
Im trying to reinstall my r200 printer. When i put the install disc in select english install driver & stylus moniter it flashes up a message "program cannot be excecuted due to configuration setting problems". I have been onto epsons own support page but they say they have never heard that problem so must be operating systerm problem (win xp).If theres any helpful suggestions i would really appreciate them please. I have completly removed the printer & drivers off the systerm so no printers are on my pc to cause a conflict issue. ??????
andsome
Are you trying to install it while it is connected or switched on? If so, either disconnect it or switch it off until instructed to switch it on. :D
burnoutclub
thanks for your reply andsome. The printer is disconnected, but ive tried it all ways but just get the same message. it has been installed several times and never had any problems with it. The only thing different this time is im now using bullguard anti-virus software but that is turned off whilst trying to install.
andsome
Try clearing out any remnants of a corrupt install by Start/Search/Epson R 200, and delete any files that come up. You could also try a clean up with C Cleaner. I'm clutching at straws, but it's worth a try.C Cleaner here Go for the slim version to avoid the dreaded Yahoo tool bar. Irene
Hello burnoutclub, welcome to the forum. :D Have you tried... ...going through "Printers and Faxes" from the "Control Panel", then "Add a printer"; When you touch "A local printer attached to this computer", ensure that the box is checked immediately below this which allows your computer to select whatever it choses, without using the disc? Irene
This link shows you how to check them...LOOK HEREIt also says that if they are greyed out, click Get In Levels to refresh the driver. This might well sort your problem. :D
