i recently discoverd that windows xp isnt showing our network computers in the Network Places

i can still find them when i search for computers in our network [MSHOME]

i configured this exactly the same on every computer in our network

on the other computers windows does show the computers in the Network Places

i already tried:

-reconfigure the network settings > no success

-restarting windows

-searching for computers using the Start > Search tool

-plugging in my internet cable again

does anyone know how i can solve this?

thanks in advance

Hi Coreper ;),

You can manually add computers to My Network Places like this...

\\computername\SharedDocs

computername is the name that your computer has (if your unsure rightclick My Computer and select properties, then the "Computer Name" tab - The name should be in there beside "Full Computer Name".

Hope this helps ;)
