hi, i've got a little problem with my computer. every time i start it, windows begins checking disks (C;) and (E:). I thought that there must be some kind of problem so i made disk cleanup and i tried disk defragmenter but the defragmentation didn't start on volume (E:). It release a sign saying "disk defragmenter has detected that chkdsk is scheduled to run on volume E: . please run chkdsk /f". So, now i don't know what to do. Please help me!

This is the Windows Defragmenter, I assume? I don't know why it is behaving like that; perhaps there is a problem on your E: drive?

Anyway, I would try a different defragmenter - one that is (a) faster than the Windows defragger, (b) proven safe for many years, and © coincidentally written by the same company that wrote the original Windows defragger.

Search Google for Diskeeper Lite, and you should find dozens of downloads for Diskeeper Lite 7.

If you have any Intel hardware on your system, you can download Diskeeper Lite 9 from the Intel Desktop Utilities from here. This is a very large download; Diskeeper is in the 3rd-party folder.

Caution: Defraggler is not only a completely new product, it is also still in beta test!

Diskeeper on the other hand has been in defragmentation technology for well over ten years, so chances of data loss are minimal.

Try going to the hd's manufacturer's website, and download a diagnostic program. If there are any errors on the drive, the diagnostic program should fix it. Good luck!
