My system is virus free and i do regular scans but i found that if i try to open 'My Pictures' i get a explore stop responding and it restarts.Any help would greatly be appreciatedIm currently running Windows XP under service pack 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If so, simply uninstall the service pack. The final SP3 is not yet released, so certain problems with the release candidates are to be expected. Mike567 Posted May 14, 2008 Report Share Posted May 14, 2008 Do you normally have it on thumbnail view, I've had a similar proble.Try changing it to like a list view or something, I would tell you how its done but my windows wont start up on my machine :(.I think you would have to change the ini file in my pictures, which could be opened using the run dialog, likenotepad C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\My Documents\My Pictures\file.iniI'm just saying this hoping someone else can fill in the gaps? Juzzyx Posted May 15, 2008 Author Report Share Posted May 15, 2008 I found a solution that seems to be working fine :D after search for awhile i found something with a similar problem and his/her solution seem to work for me too :D, simply enough all i did was boot in safe mood then open my pictures then return to normal windows and no crashing :DThanks to all that helped though :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
