CA Internet Security Suite

Recommended Posts

I have the whole security suite installed and I like it except that it's firewall slowly starts to take up CPU time untill the load is at a 100% all the time. The offender is cafasem.exe which belongs to the firewall. I've tried the forum for CA but from the amount of traffic there is on that board I can expect an answer come christmas. I realy would like to find a solution for this or I will just have to uninstall the program. Any ideas?

I don't actually understand what the problem is - the firewall using 100% CPU until it's fully initialized. After that it's OK? You don't use your computer anyway until Windows and all the security tools are fully initialized, so what's the problem?

Sorry, you didn't quite understand. the CPU is under 100% load all most 100% of the time.

I did find out the answer though. That firewall has a problem dealing with PnP clients. There is no fix for that so I have uninstalled the program and installed PC Tools Internet Security Suite. So far, this firewall has no problems.
