Printer Server & VISTA = Grrrr

Recommended Posts

I have recently bought a new laptop, with VISTA. I have a wireless network and a Belkin printer server which has worked fine for the last 2 years and still does with my old machine which is running XP.

Having installed the printer drivers and the printer server drivers on to the VISTA machine... turns out it will not print.

I have checked the settings 1000 times, uninstalled both drivers about 5 times and checked port settings / created a new TCP port ... but no luck.

What i find very strange is that the printer does actually spool the whats in the Q, but ONLY when you shut the PC right down... it prints when it powers back up... this is perplexing me.

I have killed the firewall and AVG... but still no luck.

Has anyone got any ideas???

The model no. of the server is F1UP001.

Having talked to Belkin they suggested creating a new TCP port for it, which i did... no luck.

Any help, gratefully received.

Thanks

Chris

Hello chegger :D

This may not be any help, but I just came across this link, which has a Free Scan for Belkin Components Drivers related errors..... HERE.

.... It is situated just under the tab header, Summary.
