Hello,

I am using Windows 2003 as server and windows xp client. I am not able to access network from client sides.

I always need to use administrator password to login to network from client side. When I checked it in the event viewer, alll the client systems shows the following error.

Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer network. (The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

Automatic certificate enrollment for local system failed to contact the active directory (0x8007054b). The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. Enrollment will not be performed.

I tried many things like changing the DNS settings. But still the problem exists.

Can anybody help.

Best Regards

Benny

Hello Benny :D

This should be worth looking through... HERE

Hello irene,

Thanks for the help.

I already went through that article.

for the below error, I have added the DWORD and input the value 60. But didn't work. Then I increased it to 80. Still its showing the same problem.

Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for the computer network. (The specified domain either does not exist or exist or could not be contacted). Group Policy processing aborted. Data: (unavailable

And for the below, I checked the DNS settings in the client. We use DHCP and in all the systems DNS settings seems correct.

Automatic certificate enrollment for local system failed to contact the active directory (0x8007054b). The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. Enrollment will not be performed

Now what should i do ?

Please help me. I need to fix the problem very badly.

Thanks in advance.

Regds

Benny

Sorry, but I am not personally very network knowledgeable.

We do have members who definitely are though.

In the meantime, perhaps you would like to take a look at some of the very informative and troubleshooting guidance on the networking part of the forum, HERE.

It may have been a better place to post. Perhaps someone on the support team will be able to help in this respect.

Hopefully someone who has more expertise will log on soon. :)
