Dual Boot XP Pro 32 and Vista Ultimate 64

Recommended Posts

I am currently using Windows XP Pro. I would like to just leave my current hard drive for all of my media watching and general web surfing. I just bought Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit; I would like to install that on my new 500gb, 16mb cache hard drive, to only use to play games and run my 3d modeling applications.

I want to know if the idea propsed is doable for one? If it is, is there anything I should know before I start? I want to just be able to restart my computer and select the other OS. Any knowledge that would help me with my situation would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
