zdeny_ Posted June 21, 2008 Report Share Posted June 21, 2008 Hi,I have installed Vista a few days ago. Now I want to install Windows XP back and use only XP. When I boot the Win XP installing CD, it shows at the start "checking hardware" and then only black screen stay with no activity. The CD is OK - I checked on other PC. The hardware is still the same.I used to have XP home. It was installed by Dell on my Inspiron 6400 when I bought it.I installed grub from fedora.
