This is partly because of their design, e.g some fancy fonts will appear to look smaller than very simple fonts of the same size.Also some fonts look good on screen but terrible on paper.Also it varies with the magnification you are using for your on-screen pages (look in the tool bars at the top of the page - a number like this: XX%).If everything else works OK I don't see that either Vista or Word7 would be changing anything.So I think you just need to experiment to find what works for you on screen & on paper.
