Make remote control start at windows logon

i was wondering if it is possible to have some sort of remote controll software [from outside the LAN network = over the internet] start at the windows logon

this way it is possible to work on a remote computer, even when it needs to get rebooted

does anyone know software for remote control, which is able of starting a server so a remote client can connect to it and use the specified computer?

ofcourse this program must be able of getting added to the startup cycle, for example by making a shortcut to it and placing the shortcut in the user's startup folder

please help me out here

btw: i want to know this because this enables me to help someone, who doesnt live very close to me, with installing his computer, even when it needs to reboot

so i am no longer dependent of his presence

i have absolutely no bad intensions with this software

If you want remote access, try TightVNC.

If you want software to run at startup, placing it in the startup folder works. If the computer has XP Professional, you can also use a startup script.

VNC is a service, and thus will run before the user is logged on. User scripts will require the user to log on, unless auto-login is enabled.
