tompepsi
Earlier post by Alan about this. Today I downloaded/installed the July MS updates, 2 of 'em, and after that I was unable to connect to the internet. The hardware stuff was fine but the only thing that had changed was the update install. I too had to use System Restore and that re enabled the laptop's ability to connect to internet. What is up with the MS update? Haven't seem much else out there about this. Dencandy
Sometimes these things just happen. Are your updates now installed?Do you use automatic updates? In the past I had trouble with them and now do all Windows updates manually. Others have no trouble with automatic updates.I believe some anti-malware programmes and 3rd party firewalls can sometimes interfere with Windows updates, so that's maybe worth looking into. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Changing the Internet Zone firewall slider to "Medium" instead of "High" as a temporary circumvention should restore your network access.
andsome
As I said in the other thread on this topic, I had NO problems whatsoever. :D
