Boris
obviously this pc is not supplied with proper driversWhether it is a custom build or not, the motherboard should have come with a driver CD for whatever devices are on it. Who built it ?Follow the advice of Alan2273 below :)
Alan2273
Download and run this program, it will tell you in detail about all your hardware and the drivers installed for it.http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php

rumencho
Thank you very much! I downloaded all that I found on that site. Now the video problems dissapeared. I also downloaded audio driver for my mainboard but still can't hear any sound from my computer.. How can I check that my pc have a sound card? and if it has, what should I do now? Boris
Have you enabled the sound in the BIOS ?This is the audio driver for that motherboard :-http://eu.shuttle.com/download/Archive/Dri...cd549/audio.zipand here are all the devices on it :-http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=MK...MBB&cpc=JAD
Boris
If you plug your speakers in where I've marked on the attached screenshot (in red) - then you are using the onboard sound chip.If you plug them in elsewhere it will have a dedicated sound card in a PCI slot
rumencho
Infact,I don't have any external speakers. But I can't hear sound even from my headphones. I even enter bios and enabled audio ,but still I can't hear sound.. I think that I have appropriate drivers for my motherboard,I downloaded them from the site mentioned above.. I can't play even system sounds..nothing..
Boris
What does it show underHardware / Device Manager / Sound, Video and Game controllers ?Anything like this :-
Boris
1. If you are plugging your headphones in at the back ? ....... are you using the correct socket ?2. If you are plugging your headphones in to a socket on the front, is that socket actually connected to the motherboard ?
rumencho
Well I tried all the sockets in front and on the back side.. nothing jhappens. I don't know whether my front socket is connected to the motherboard.. and it's useless for me to open the box because, I don't understand anything about hardware.. I installed drivers..fixed the bios settings.. ckecked if all the devices are "enabled" ,but I can't hear even a simple system sound:(

rumencho
Yes everything is the same except this: VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller (WDM)instead of: Realtek 97'AC Audio
Boris
That should be OK then - I am stuck for further ideas at the moment. :(
Alan2273
Open device manager, go to VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller (WDM), right click on that entry, then from the drop down box, left click on Properties. What does that box say, Is it enabled in the bottom box.?.
