Recommended Posts

I,m working on a custom build computer, and I don't know nothing about its hardware configuration. The problem is that I'm experiencing video problems, and I don't have any sound from my pc, obviously this pc is not supplied with proper drivers,I have tried with device manager but , again I can`t figure out what hardware do I have on my sistem, and for which piece of hardware should I install drivers..can you help me?

obviously this pc is not supplied with proper drivers

Whether it is a custom build or not, the motherboard should have come with a driver CD for whatever devices are on it.

Who built it ?

Follow the advice of Alan2273 below :)

Thank you very much! I downloaded all that I found on that site. Now the video problems dissapeared. I also downloaded audio driver for my mainboard but still can't hear any sound from my computer.. How can I check that my pc have a sound card? and if it has, what should I do now?

If you plug your speakers in where I've marked on the attached screenshot (in red) - then you are using the onboard sound chip.

If you plug them in elsewhere it will have a dedicated sound card in a PCI slot

Infact,I don't have any external speakers. But I can't hear sound even from my headphones. I even enter bios and enabled audio ,but still I can't hear sound.. I think that I have appropriate drivers for my motherboard,I downloaded them from the site mentioned above.. I can't play even system sounds..nothing..

1. If you are plugging your headphones in at the back ? ....... are you using the correct socket ?

2. If you are plugging your headphones in to a socket on the front, is that socket actually connected to the motherboard ?

Well I tried all the sockets in front and on the back side.. nothing jhappens. I don't know whether my front socket is connected to the motherboard.. and it's useless for me to open the box because, I don't understand anything about hardware.. I installed drivers..fixed the bios settings.. ckecked if all the devices are "enabled" ,but I can't hear even a simple system sound:(
