import a outlook pst file in office 2003

Recommended Posts

I have now outlook 2003 where I made recently a new profile and there is something like a default calendar with a yellow background which is of course still empty. I have a outlook pst-file with all my calendar-data en contacts. if I import that file, I can see the data in "My Calendars" (in the calendar tab) only if I mark another calendar (in my case it name is "Agenda in personal folders" which calendar has a green background) besides the default (marked) "Calendar". I want to have all the data in the default "Calendar" of "My Calendars" (which has the yellow background). If that will succeed I can synchronize it again with my pocket PC and have all the data in the Pocket PC. I have similar problem with the contacts in "My Contacts" tab.

Hello and welcome to Windows Forum, Pieter87. :D

I have Outlook 2002, so I am not certain that I can help.

However, could you perhaps export the contents of the original profile to your desktop, then import it into the new profile?

The colours of the calendar are, I think, manageable from the Calendar Colouring icon, which is available when you have the Calendar open.

I hope this has been of some assistance.

If not, perhaps someone else will have other ideas. :flowers:

You all Thank very much  .

I just copy and past the contacts (or drag and dropped) in the standard contactlist, which was actually the main problem (now I have all my important contacts in my mobile device again).

I will just start a new agenda, without previous agenda data, if want to see some old data I just can open or import the pst-files.

I also have download sunbird and thunderbird a couples of months ago. Ik like the ical-standard, (unfortunatly) I have to stick to the pst/outlook-standard to synchronize with my windows mobile device I guess.

I did not think about the simple solution to drag and drop the content, however I think I will search for some outlook (backup)tools to make it easier to manage my data.
