mrmilli
Hello all, just need a little advice regarding video cards.I am trying to install a triple screen setup and was wondering whether a video card exists which uses a PCI (standard slot) with dual VGA outputs capable to supplying at least 1650x1050 resolution to each screen. Also in terms of windows XP, would i be able to use this in conjunction with the onboard board graphics card to obtain three monitor setup, if not how would people suggest i do it??the reason it has to be PCI only is that my motherboard doesn’t have an PCIe/x or AGP slot.Any help or advice on this matter would be much appreciatedRegards,

ced
hm.since i'm not from the same country, i can't look into some online shops.but the idea is simple, take some of those somewhat older graphic cards, like the FX6600 pci or FX5500 pci (nvidia), they should have multiple slots, and supports the resolution you are asking for, for three monitors, just plug 2 cards in, that should be no problem.i hope this was useful, and good luck with your search!ced
Scarecrow Man
99% of graphics cards purchased today have dual outputs. You can also purchase a VGA splitter which will essentially turn 1 output into 2. This will give you the desired three outputs for very minimal cost. The only downside is that 2 of the outputs (since split from 1 output) will be identical no matter what you do.We use this in our retail stores. 1 output for a monitor in the back room, and the 2nd output split with a VGA splitter for two television sets out front of the store. This allows us to play videos, power point, etc but still have a working PC in the back.
