pc_doc Posted August 3, 2008 Report Share Posted August 3, 2008 Hi forum, I have a problem getting my printer to work this is the setup i have.My Printer is connected to a linux server which has a static ip address of 192.168.1.100.My laptop has windowsXP and connects wireless to the internet.When i try to add a printer to my laptop using printing over the internet i put the ip address of the printer in the URL box, http://192.168.1.100:631/printers/Deskjet_D4200_series . I get the printer icon showing up in printers and faxes box but when i click on the printer properties it does not show the properties box.
