Hi and thanks for the Forum.

I have two Computers both with Registered XP Prof. OS's

Just recently the Automatic Updates Scheduler downloaded the latest Updates.

However when telling it to install I get the following error message on both systems -

The following Updates were not installed -

Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0 (KB928365)

Thanks

Welcome to the Windows Forum.

Please tell us the error code you are getting: go to http://www.update.microsoft.com/, then click on 'Review your update history'. You will see a post-1524-1218171852_thumb.gif status icon beside the failed update(s). Click on it to get the error number.

Thanks but you haven't heard some of my Originals!

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=635228

Thanks for the info' it seems a real mess to sort out and I'm not too confident about trying it frankly!

Also on one of my systems (the other one, haven't checked this one yet) it has a NetFix I don't see in the List of available Downloads? namely - Hotfix (KB928366)

Altold on this same other Computer I have Netfix 1.1, Hotfix & 2.0 installed

Thanks again

Try this, click start - run - cmd - ok

One by one, write these commands and click enter after each one (you must get

a success message after you click enter for each one).

regsvr32 wuweb.dll

regsvr32 wups2.dll

regsvr32 wups.dll

regsvr32 wucltui.dll

regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll

regsvr32 wuaueng.dll

regsvr32 wuapi.dll

Now you should be able to install all windows updates!

I get - not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

Thanks

Is C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 somewhere in there? Well, it must be, otherwise many things wouldn't work in Windows.

Can you change to the above directory from the C:\ prompt before you issue the regsvr32 commands?

cd C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32

Did that and it still says that *.dll is not an executable file type (which it isn't I know that much (with respect))

Thanks
