El Magnifico
Hey all..I had my user set to "Private" once so noone can access its contents from outside it..Then I had a problem that I formatted the computer and tried to access those files inside my old user account but i couldn't.. "Access is denied"..My question is : Is there a way when I set the user to be private to save a license for example that allows me to access those files from another operating system or another user using this license? Tanmaya
Hi,Can you provide some detailed information about your Operating System and also what do you mean by that term 'private'? To resolve "Access is denied" problem is easy if the hard drive is in NTFS partition, even if the OS gets reinstalled.
Scarecrow Man
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421Remember, when doing this, the folder will become inaccessible by the previous user. Only do this when you are sure you want to replace credentials.
