The following day I went to work on my computer but found the screen was blank and the computer was racing. I switched everything off and turned it on again. I have done this several times now and the monitor green light comes on but then turns yellow and a box appears saying 'NO SIGNAL'. Can anyone help or advise - do I need to contact an engineer to come out and have a look or is it something I could do. Scarecrow Man Posted August 19, 2008 Report Share Posted August 19, 2008 No signal would indicate that the monitor is not plugged into the PC tower. Check the cables. The Monitor cable is usually a thick cable, with a large blue end. The blue end has two screws (which are turned by hand) to hold it onto the PC. Turn off the PC, remove the Memory and insert it in to the available different slot in the Motherboard. Make sure you press the memory in to the slot gently and you will able to hear a lock sound once the Memory is fully fixed in to the slot. Try this.. Carlo Gambino Posted August 24, 2008 Report Share Posted August 24, 2008 I had a similar issue recently. After installing new RAM in my machine, I noticed that if I turn the PC on or reboot it while my modem is on, the signal to the monitor cuts out. If, however, I turn off the modem before hand, it fires right up. I'm not sure how to combat this issue. My next step will be to test this problem with the old RAM.
