Problems with computer start up

I didn't know if this should be posted in another forum,as it's about a couple of problems rather than just one. Anyway I hope someone can help me.

When my computer starts up it goes through the windows XP screen,then after that it's just a blank screen,no windows is starting up or anything,the little light in the tower flashes as if it is working to boot up the users screen,but it does nothing. I have also had to restart my PC three times because of this.

When I was trying to use IE browser whenever I would try and download IE 7 I would get this promt:

Dcom server process launcher server (And it counts down to shutting down my PC.)

I have did scans with ad-aware and spybot S&D. Ad-aware comes back with a few,and I sort those out,but spybot S&D come back clean. Also I am having problems with firefox web browser,when I click on my bebo page in my faves it just gives me a blank page,and when searching anything with google it opens a new tab with a page that I did not search for. I have tried re-installing my faves and re-installing firefox but no joy with either.

It sounds as if you still have infections,you could try a scan with this http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and see if it finds anything. Someone may be along later that can help you more.
