I thought this news item was very, very sad. It speaks volumes about our society. Not just the item itself but particularly the photograph ( top left) accompanying the article.

Terrible news of course, but there was no photo, only videos.

Terrible news of course, but there was no photo, only videos.

That's the trouble with going to bed soon...you miss the best bits.

The photo' has now disappeared. It was simply a photograph of about 3" x 3"of the front of a policeman's flat hat showiing the badge, a bit of the black and white chequered tape and a small amount of neb .

It was poignant and redolent, and at the same time pointless,

It was one of those instances of "We do not know what to show. We have nothing to show. But we will show you something to prove it is all true."
