ISA/DNS

Yello..

Everyday for about 30 minutes both ISA servers cannot connect to a hostname we have in DNS pointing to an external IP address. This in turn affects the clients trying to connect to the address. Although this will work if put through as an exception I'd like to get to the bottom of the problem.

There is a correct answer if you query nslookup for the hostame on the servers, you can ping by IP address but when using ping or tracert to the hostname it does not recognise the target host. This only happens to the ISA servers and only for about half an hour each day. This affects no other traffic.

Any ideas?

Nothing amiss in the logs. All services fine.

Sorry about the delay, few things including a holiday meant I was no-where near the place.

Because we've moved everyone over to bypass the proxy for the address, knowing when it's a problem isn't as obvious as before. Wouldn't worry about it, as long as the users are happy.

Thanks for any help and suggestions!
