chrissai
Guys 'n' Gals, A month or so ago I tried to plug my ipod into my Samsung R60 to download some music. The Usb pen said it was being charged but the Notebook seems to have no inkling that it's connected. I can't force it to pick it up when it can't see anything there at all. I've not been able to connect it to the PC since. Can anyone suggest what might (not) be happening? Thanks, all -- chris
-pops-
Your description seems to point to the problems associated with "hot unplugging" your Ipod whilst it was reading/writing. See http://forums.windowsforum.org/index.php?showtopic=32464If this is the problem, it could be either the device or the USB socket that has failed. If your device works in another computer then the socket is the problem. In this case, the only thing you can do is to use a separate plug-in USB card.I don't know about Ipods but other some MP3 players warn against hot unplugging and put on-screen indicators to inform you of when it is safe to unplug.
