uvgcbcp.dll module missing

Hello,

I have Windows XP home - I am having lately the following problems, I am not sure if they are related:

1. at (re-) start, I am getting the message: C:\Windows\system 32 \ uvgcbcp.dll module missing

Tried but I do not find any indication about this module, I am asking if it has something to do with or if it can possible affect the securiy of my system as lately, each time I would like to stop computer and I am connected to the internet, I do get a message that "other people are logged on my computer, are you sure you want to quit", etc (FY, I do have Norton antivirus)

2. the keyboard does no longer respond normaly: I am having AZERTY Belgian and lately it responds like QWERTY (or something else) - the troubles started when I have bought and started use an additional keyboard that enables my laptop to stay in an elevated position (recommended by doctors for my back problems) - in the begining everything went well, depending on if I was or not connected to the additional keyboard, I could select and alternate between NL and EN, etc. Lately, when I work disconnected, I need to search for the right characters, I need to search use other keys for the right characters...

3. by rebooting computer, the network driver that allows connection~dial up to the internet, would be in desabled mode - each time after rebooting I need to re-enable this driver, to be able to dial up the internet connection..

HI and thx for the quick answer/suggestion - FYI, "my" Norton antivirus (and anti-trojan I hope), keeps automatically updating and gives me a good status, each time I re-start computer...

Anyway, I would remove that dll from the startup.

Hello friend, if the the above is the exact message you get then you computer would seem to have been hijacked. Don't use it for any sort of financial or personal transactions until you've thoroughly checked it out. Are you sure it says exactly that, or is it "other people who may be logged on , etc..."? (this last is a standard but harmless warning).

I suggest you run an on-line scan. ESET are an excellent and reliable security provider and will scan your computer for free from this link: http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/index.php

I suggest you pay careful attention to any advice ESET give you after the scan, but you don't have to buy their product as there are free anti-virus programs available on the web (e.g. AVG, Antivir, Avast).
