something keeps restarting Windows Exporer

my main issue is that something has begun breaking Explorer periodically - i have NO idea how to find what's doing this; all my processes look fairly normal...

this happened when i installed Nero V.9 - i ended up with some NTVDM errors that were calling some files, ./system32/cmd.exe, and ./system32/file.exe. - i don't know if they're related; i've uninstalled Nero, but i still get these two errors when i boot up, but mainly i'm getting quite frustrated with Explorer restarting whenever i rollover my taskbar, or start some programs...

can anyone help?

i appreciate it much.
