Windows Media Player he screwed up...

Recommended Posts

I don't know what it is, but for a year now my windows media player hasn't worked properly...

i cant open it, for one. the task manager says its already running but i cant open it.

to open the player i have to go into the task manager, end the process and open it again... quite annoying...

anyway, when im finally in, the library is completely screwed up. it lists every song three times, but only one of them works, the others the library says it cant find, and yet theyre not being removed...

when i rip CDs, they always burn as track 1, track 2, etc. the WMP cannot seem to access the windows website.

can't access help either.

whenever i make a playlist, the library wont add it to my list of playlists, and the lists i already have there... none of them work...

It's stopped checking my computer for new songs.

i dont know if its even possible, but i can't clear the library, even though i would love to be able to do this.

these are only a few problems.

ive tried reinstalling the WMP by downloading it from the windows site but nothing changes. ive tried UNinstalling WMP but apparently that isnt even possible.

im stumped. i love WMP but im sick of these problems, they need to be fixed. Can anyone help?

Thanks for any and all help given :)

sry, I'm using Windows Vista and the latest version of WMP, whatever it is, 10 or 11 :S

Is the machine you are running Vista on a new one, or are you trying to run it on an older machine that does not have the speed and power to cope with it?
