Smile Posted November 1, 2008 Report Share Posted November 1, 2008 i have 3 partitions on my drive, my Vista is on D:, E: is my recovery and C: has nothing on it, i want to install xp on C:, when i put the XP cd in, i get this screen,the install windows xp button cannot be clicked, how do i fix this?i also have a windows media center edition cd and whenever i put that in, there is no option to install it, it only has these.any help people? im stumped Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Seshomaru Samma Posted November 2, 2008 Report Share Posted November 2, 2008 how would i do that? i thin i used to know but now i dontreboot your computerthe first thing that will come up is the BIOSyou will prompt to press a key to enter BIOS set up (sometimes it just says 'setup' depends on your computer)usually its an F key (in my Dell its F12) or the Delete keyonce inside the BIOS setting you should look for something like 'boot device priority' (again its BIOS names it differntly) and make CD the first boot devicerestart the computer and it will boot from the CD Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
