Tyler Jay Posted November 5, 2008 Report Share Posted November 5, 2008 Seeking winzip/winrar "extract and update" function for managing backup hard drive files/folders. I have 3 hard drives (desktop, laptop, external backup) with the same folder naming scheme where the files within those folders continually get updated individually. I need to be able to extract (not replacing whole folder) and update (copy over old file) to one drive. I tried with winrar however it only seems to work with zipped files. Any ideas? This may be useful to you.Thanks, I'll take a look at the program, however if anyone else has a suggestion....It seems a function like this should be included with the OS.
