ok i finally got the Gparted cd to work and i formatted that C: drive and got it erased, it now says 7.72 gb of 7.80 gb free, and i used to remember how to extend that part of it back onto the D: drive but it has completely skipped my mind right now, can anyone refresh me?

I am not sure if this will work in Vista as I do not have that OS.

Fire up GParted, delete the partition you have just formatted then click on your main partition, then click Resize and allocate the free space from the deleted partiton, or just use the slider to allocate it.

As Vista has NTFS, the same as XP it should work, and the partition will be unmounted.

Before you try this wait for someone to verify this will work with Vista.
