ron1210
Many times when I have a picture, graphic, etc. on my screen, surrounded by a box, all I see is a small box in the frame with a red X. I was told that I could fix this (i.e., be able to see the picture and not have the red X) by installing Java. I went to a Java download site and got this:You have the recommended Java installed (Version 6 Update 10).I still get the red X and can not see some pictures. What am I doing wrong? Also, I looked in my Program list and could not find the Java program. Where is it (any suggestions on where to look)?
-pops-
Which program list are you looking in?Java doesn't appear in the All Programs list from the Start menu but is seen in the list contained in Add/Remove programs (Control Panel -> Add/remove).The Java Control Panel also appears in the main Windows Control Panel.
